Ireland Team Named For Argentina Test
Joe Schmidt decides to go with experience for the (always tricky) match V Argentina this weekend.
Unfortunately, a win will not gain Ireland any World ranking points because Argentina are ranked too far below Ireland. Although, an Ireland loss will make Ireland lose some points. Argentina are always a tough side and their current ranking does not justify this. They are ranked low because their most recent opposition has been other top tier teams in the (New Zealand dominated) Rugby Championship – along with Australia and South Africa.
The in-form Tagdh Bierne is notably missing from the squad. Rob Kearney, Garry Ringrose and Conor Murray are out injured. Rory Best returns as captain.
